Spirituality is an external as well as internal experience. It is an experience for all living things whither they be human or not. There are various types of spiritual paths, and they do not all lead to the same place. Here I am referring to Heaven and Hell, not in the biblical sense, but in the regards to the spiritual and psychological experience of such ideas. People experience separation from their spiritual life line when living in an enteral conflict. It is a struggle that will continue to show it's head, experience after experience, until they are forced to recognize it. Those experinces as well as the state of mind it produces is hell. That individual need not wait to die to experience it, as if is already actively plaguing him or her. I have seen many religious individuals from very conservative to more liberal faiths living in hell. A constant torment of not really knowing themselves or why they tend to be attracted to a form of spirituality that they are not accustomed to. Or they are trying to live that faith but are faced with so many obstacles. Aleister Crowley, a revered magician stated in his book, "Liber, The book of the law, "Do as you will is the whole of the law, love is the law, love under will". How much do you love yourself, how far are you will to go to prove that love and will? For it is in that will, that you find the spiritual center.

Dont be fulled into beleiving in a celestial realm where angels float in clouds and reproduce every living soul. Logically speaking, unless they live in our planet, they dont have clouds to float on. Real spiriutality is one that you will find inside your core being. Inside of you is a connection to certain entities that call on you. They have done  throughout your life, in dreams, feelings and or visions. These are your guardians, whiether they are celestrial in nature or earth bound. They are here to guide you. Understanding thier messages and how to respect them ritualistically is what leads to internal heaven. In the tarot card named "The Wheel of Fortune", it depciets an old wheel with the head of a goat followed by a dove, depicting the constant karmatic lessons of heaven and hell within a person. By abiding in your spirit, you will be able to bypass all those goats and stay within the realm of the doves.

But for some individuals heaven is in the realm of the goats. Thier spirits are not interested in the light. Those individuals need to follow that path and follow it to the "T". There is no middle ground in true spirituality. It should not shameful, for a dark individual to leave their old religious training to follow the dark path. These individuals are usually good citizens and have jobs as copes, lawyers, Teachers, and stay at home moms.
